Character name Elminster Aumar

Age & point in canon 1173. He is taken just before the Spellplauge ravages Faerun.
Appearance He appears as a gray-bearded man of weathered visage, gruff tone, alert, dancing eyes and nondescript attire. He is almost always smoking a meerschaum pipe that is spouting some vile blue or green smoke.

What sort of magic/power/mutation do they possess? Elminster is one of the foremost mages in Faerun. He is the chosen of the goddess of magic and a fair fighter and thief in addition.
What items of note beyond clothing/photos would you like your character to appear with? Elminster is never seen without his spellbook, staff and pipe. Without his spellbook his magic is very limited and his staff and pipe have become as much a part of his appearance as his clothes. Both are magical and the staff is his primary weapon.
Personality Elmister is a consummate actor and delights in acts of whimsy, helping the needy and lovelorn and dispensing poetic justice to those who deserve it. He rarely reveals the full extent of his true nature to anyone who is not an extremely close friend. He can portray himself as a trickster, a rake, a stern father figure, or any other stereotype he wants to assume, depending on what he wants to accomplish or what reaction he wants to elicit from those around him. He has a heart of gold, a deep need to bring tyrannical, pompous and cruel persons low.

Suggest one game wide / group plot element An invasion by Polymorphs (Red Dwarf) These shape-shifting monstrosities induce a heightened emotion in their victims then completely drain them of that emotion.
